The Armed Tyrannic Republic of Gariston is a presidential country.  The president controls everything and collaborates only with the Prime Minister and his ministers.  The Opposition speaks with the Prime Minister in the Parliament and makes its recommendations.  The military is controlled by the President and the First General, the Navy by the President and the First Admiral and the Airforce by the President and the First General.

Nationalism has the “lion share” in Gariston.  Three of the Political Parties, FANEP, GFP, KKK are totally nationalistic -they have basic differences amongst them of course - but also a Communist Party, the GNCP, believes in National Communism.  There are a few extreme leftists communists, socialists and anarchists, but they are minorities.

There are 11 Administrations in Gariston: Andelevitsville (which is the Capital of the State), Birg, Etienne, Dehanceville (the co-capital which also includes Troll & Hillman islands), Triehler, Ydrihen, Monaco Royal, Minotaur (includes Minotaur island, Fantom island and Oghmius island), Olympic, Grolsch and Flisbourg.  Also, there are The Republic of Apollonia and Tsiapis Islands, the two tributary lands of Gariston.  And also, two island territories The Myrhh Confederation and the Republic of the Southern Islands and, finally a polar territory, The State of Ever Frozen Land.  Every territory and administration enjoys autonomy for its local decisions.  Nick says that “nobody knows better the problems of a city than the people who live in it”.

The Administrator is the ruler of Administration and the Mayor is the ruler of the city. The executive council collaborates with the Mayor for the common good.  The council meets every 25^th of the month.

Local authorities are responsible for the regulation of local street traffic and local transportation.  They are also responsible for the upkeep of the playgrounds and the supervision of their parks and forests.

 

Civil Rights

In Gariston, people can enjoy freedom of speech, the freedom of voting, nature and the comforts of civilization.  The government fights for the people and the people reap the harvest of their hard work.

Hospitals are located in every city, with a high level organization and there are health centers in every small town and village.  First aid and check-ups are totally free of charge.  The State looks after the poorest people who are hospitalized free.

 

All legal rights are allowed, except:

 

Divorce: Only for special reasons (such as abuse or adultery) is divorce permitted.  Every Garistian citizen can be married only two times.

Abortion:  No one has the right to kill innocent people.  Unmarried mothers are protected by the state, so there is no excuse for killing an unborn baby.  The Christian country of Gariston punishes the women and the doctors who practice abortion.  Jail and banishment await the people involved in abortion procedures.

Hunting: Hunting is strictly forbidden in Gariston.  Hunting is a crime against animals who are creatures of God’s love and part of our nature.  Animals give to men their love and affection and some of them their hair, milk and meat (but when it’s their time to die).  There are many butcher shops in Gariston.  There is no need to hunt the little birds or the beautiful animals of the forest.  Fishing is allowed in selected coast and lakes.

 

Police

The role of the police in Garistian Republic is to protect the borders from the barbarians and to enforce state criminal law at any cost.  In Administrations, there is a local police force, a mixture of municipal police and volunteers citizens in uniform, who keep the law in its highest level.  The Municipal Police (Mu.P) enforce the law in street markets, control the circulation in the streets and check if the stores have the right documents for their function.  Volunteer Citizens (Vo.C) patrol the neighborhoods for any thieves every night.

 

Press

There are seven newspapers in Gariston.  The biggest is Yz Lurb, FANEP's Organ, which sells about 1.000.000 copies by day.Yz Lurb (which means "Free Day" in Garistonian) is the only newspaper in Gariston which has an e-edition.  The rest of the daily garistian newspapers, are "P`olemm" ("War"), edited by G.F.P., and "Milc`ez" ("Speak"), the G.N.C.P. journalistic organ.  There are three weekly newspapers, "Kih`ood" ("Knight"), afilliated with the Ku-Klux-Klan, "Q`ogno Banderb" ("Red Flag"), the journal of R.K.G.F. and "Loos!" ("Councelor"), the organ of NE.S.P.

A Monthly Anarcho-communist newspaper, "Par`ata", exists, which is close to K.M.O.G. ideas.  Three athletic journals accomplish the official press of Gariston, by the names of "Pl`ethor" ("Crowd"), "Dev`ood Fan" ("Devoted Fan") and "Sport Mal`urb" ("Sports Today").
