Predominantly a quiet residential area, Monaco Royal is one of the most picturesque places in Gariston,
especially the administrative capital, Monaco Royal. Each year in the last week of Spring, medieval games are hosted
in the capital and they include charriot races and archery contests. Balaldig, home to a mostly Pagan population, celebrates
its own holidays that are often accompanied by contests also. Large sectors of the population, especially in the capital,
are royalists who believe that Gariston should be ruled by a King. Lacking, however, a political party to support them,
they regularly vote for Nikos like the rest of the country.
